History

In September 1990

The L’Oiseliere Hotel story began in the city of Montmagny in September 1990 when Jean-Yves Fortin and Andrée Masson became the proud owners of the “Le Germoir” property. They quickly re-established the property as an all-new hotel that better met the needs of the population by restoring twenty existing bedrooms and adding two conference rooms. They then revealed the name of their new hotel: the L’Oiseliere; inspired by the migration path taken by thousands of white snow geese during the fall season. This new elegant and feminine name brings to mind the image of “a person who raises birds”.

In 1993

The L’Oiseliere Hotel added 12 new rooms, a restaurant, an indoor patio and exquisite indoor tropical garden, a hot tub and a sauna. Over the years, the L’Oiseliere Hotel has continued to expand and modernize including the installation of an outdoor swimming pool in 1995 and the addition of 20 more rooms in 1999.  The 4-star rated L’Oiseliere Hotel has become a must for both its first-class service and the fine cuisine offered by the “La Couvée” restaurant and the pampering attention given by the staff of the “L’Éclosion” spa.

In 2001

The increasing popularity of the L’Oiseliere Hotel encouraged its owners to build a brand new 50-room hotel in 2001 that would meet the needs of corporate customers.  This new three-star hotel was named “Le Florimay” in memory of two people dear to the owners; their mothers Florina and Ann-May. Hotel Florimay is a welcoming place with its outdoor pool, its cozy terrace and its inviting lounge and fireplace.

In 2004

Only a little more than three years later, the owners chose the city of Levis to establish a new L'Oiseliere hotel.  This luxury 4-star hotel has similarities to its sister hotel in Montmagny, including its La Couvée restaurant, its Éclosion spa, its indoor pool and its tropical garden with live birds. Thanks in part to its reputation and its growing customer base, L’Oiseliere Hotel Levis has added 12 more rooms to the 70 it had at its opening.

In May 2008

The L’Oiseliere experience continued with the inauguration of a modern hotel located in St-Nicolas.  This establishment differs from our other properties in some ways and features an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and fireplaces for a warm and inviting atmosphere.
